Anne Janson

anneJansonAnne Janson has been on the applied music faculty at Middlebury College since 1987, and is on the applied music faculty at the University of Vermont. Anne is second flutist with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and substitutes as principlay flute and piccolo on occasion. She also plays with the Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestra and has been soloist with the Mozart Festival and VSO. She is an active freelance artist in the New England Region. Through the VSO “Musicians in Schools” outreach program, “Harp and Soul” was created. Together with harpist, Heidi Soons, Anne performs an educational program in schools throughout Vermont.

Ms. Janson recieved a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Hartt School of Music, and a Master of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Her teachers were primarily John Wion, Thomas Nyfenger, Timothy Hutchins, Julius Baker and Jeanne Baxtresser.
